Sanctuaria (Sanctuary)

While enchanted clowns
revel amid the bustle,

Alone,
I walk through a snow-filled world.

A hushed, hidden air
weighs down upon
my rigid boots.

Naming
the faintest glimmer
simply “Hope,”

I bid farewell
to a sinking,
phantom world of silver,

As the New Year’s bell tolls.
